Dragonwatch Master of the Phantom Isle

So I don't always have time to read, and this book has been on my list for a while.  And guess what? I finally had a chance to read it.

Dragonwatch is a new series by Brandon Mull.  Master of the Phantom Isles is the third book in the series.  Dragonwatch continues the story of brother and sister Seth & Kendra Sorenson, from the series Fablehaven.

Fablehaven is one of my favorite series. So I have been so excited to read the Dragonwatch.  Book 3 doesn't disappoint.  I won't say too much because I don't want to give anything away. But I really enjoyed seeing some of the beloved characters from fablehaven, like Warren and Vanessa, make an appearance in this book.

Christmas Books

So I thought you might be interested to see what books I am getting my kids for Christmas. (Luckily they don't get on my blog without me, so they won't see this)

My 11 year old son loves Rick Riordan. He reads everything he writes, and is currently devouring The Trials of Apollo series.

My 14 year old, loves books with dragons.  He read the entire Eragon series at 10.  So he has loved the Dragonwatch series.  I recommend anything be Brandon Mull.  I love to read him too! His books are also great to read aloud to your kids.

My 15 year old daughter really enjoyed the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.  She is harder to pick books for so I am hoping that she will like more by this author.
